He for She was an Erasmus+ Youth Exchange project organized by Artemis Women's Power MTÜ under project number 2023-1-EE01-KA152-YOU-000113609. The project took place in Saaremaa, Estonia, from 9 December to 16 December 2023, bringing together participants from Bulgaria, Estonia, Hungary, Romania, and Turkey. Through reflection, self-evaluation, collaborative learning, and future-oriented discussions, the project encouraged young people to recognize their personal growth while reinforcing the values of gender equality, intercultural dialogue, and active citizenship.
An important part of the programme focused on completing the Youthpass certificates while reviewing the project's educational journey. Participants reflected on their individual learning experiences, evaluated the competences they had developed, and analyzed how the activities had contributed to their personal and professional growth. At the same time, collaborative presentations using project photos and videos allowed participants to revisit key moments, strengthen their learning outcomes, and celebrate their shared achievements.
The project also encouraged participants to expand their awareness beyond gender equality by discussing other global challenges and the long-term sustainability of social responsibility initiatives. Through brainstorming, problem-solving, and open discussions, participants explored how the project's methods could be adapted to different social issues. These activities strengthened critical thinking, teamwork, and the ability to develop practical solutions for future community projects.
Reflection remained a central element throughout the programme. Participants evaluated the overall impact of the activities by sharing personal experiences, writing about the most meaningful moments, and discussing how the knowledge gained could benefit their future educational, professional, and social lives. These exercises promoted self-awareness, encouraged constructive feedback, and helped participants recognize the lasting value of non-formal learning.
The project concluded with comprehensive self-evaluation sessions that highlighted personal development, increased self-confidence, and greater awareness of equality and inclusion. Participants reflected on the progress they had made since joining the exchange and identified how they could continue promoting the project's values within their own communities. Through continuous evaluation, collaborative learning, and thoughtful reflection, He for She created sustainable learning outcomes that extended well beyond the duration of the project.
