A Day Filled with Creativity, Awareness, and Digital Skills

The second day of the “Rebirth: Climate Crisis and Migration” project focused on increasing participants’ motivation, deepening their understanding of the environmental impacts of war and climate change, and strengthening their digital competences through a variety of interactive activities.

The day began with a motivational session inspired by Antonio Vivaldi’s famous composition The Four Seasons. Participants listened to the “Spring” movement and expressed their interpretations through body movements and creative exercises. This activity encouraged positive energy, creativity, self-expression, and stronger interaction among the youth workers.

Following the energizer, participants completed a preliminary assessment designed to evaluate their existing knowledge of the project’s main themes. The same assessment will be conducted at the end of the mobility, allowing participants and organizers to measure learning progress and the impact of the project activities.

One of the key sessions of the day focused on the relationship between environmental degradation, climate change, and war. Through presentations, discussions, and visual materials, youth workers explored how armed conflicts contribute to environmental destruction, resource depletion, pollution, and forced migration. Participants also shared examples from their own countries, enriching the discussion with diverse perspectives and experiences.

To increase the visibility of both the project and the Erasmus+ Programme, participants took part in dissemination activities. Working in international groups, they designed promotional materials, developed creative visual content, and prepared social media initiatives to raise awareness about climate-related migration and environmental challenges. These activities encouraged teamwork while helping participants improve their communication and outreach skills.

The digital competence session provided participants with practical experience in creating digital photo collages. Youth workers began collecting and combining images showing cities before and after wars, visually illustrating the long-term consequences of conflict on communities and the environment. The activity not only enhanced participants’ digital skills but also encouraged critical reflection on the links between war, climate change, and migration.

The day concluded with an evaluation session where participants reflected on the activities, shared feedback, and discussed their learning outcomes. Through creativity, critical thinking, digital innovation, and intercultural dialogue, the second day successfully strengthened participants’ knowledge and competences while advancing the project’s objectives of environmental awareness and social responsibility.
